Case Study - Putting Botley on the map!

The Marketing Manager at Walking Distance was part of the Market Towns Health Project in Botley right from the start. This involved forming and leading a community group, gathering research, worksheets and organising public consultation evenings within the town leading, to the formation of an Action Plan.
The Action Plan was then presented to the Development Officer at Hidden Britain - a charity-run initiative to encourage tourism in lesser known areas of the countryside - who turned the plan into a funding bid, successfully securing £20,000 for the group.

As project manager, Walking Distance then advised on and delivered these projects within an agreed timeframe and budget.
