About Walking Distance

The Company

Southampton, England - January 2002. Walking Distance emerges from the union of a series of local business directories and a brand new cartographic database of the city. Within a year, the company's first retail map is published and a range of Pocket Guides and information-based media follows. A reputation is born, and in 2004 the company's influences extends west into the New Forest, subsequently moving east and taking over the Hamble Valley brand in 2006.

Organic growth over the next two years and a pro-active approach to seeking new opportunities for its clients enabled Walking Distance to open an exclusive media channel at the Southampton Cruise Terminals during 2007.

January 2008, and the company employs seven staff and a van. 'Nev' operates between Bournemouth, Winchester and Portsmouth, delivering not only printed media, but also the company's enthusiasm and commitment to an increasing network of clients in both the private and public sector.

In fact, everything you are looking for is within Walking Distance.

Walking Distance is a Bronze Champion of the City of Southampton and a member of the New Forest Tourism Association.
